Hello Spring!

Seriously... this is what we woke up to this fine Spring morn.  Words cannot express my joy! (please take note in the hint of sarcasm in my voice).  Patrick on the other hand is insane... dedicated perhaps but insane for sure... He woke up early, shoveled the driveway and headed down to Chicago the the annual Shamrock Shuffle 8k race.  He got an email warning him to expect "less than ideal conditions" for the race but with 6 inches of fresh snow, lake front effect wind chill and about sixty thousand other crazy runners headed into the city all vying for the only 10 available parking spots.... Good luck honey!  The boys and I are enjoying warm yummy french toast.  Hope your power bar isn't frozen. :)

LOL! You got more than we did. It is still snowing, but we can still see a bit of the grass.

At least Patrick will get a cool, new t-shirt. I think the Shamrock Shuffle shirts are always long sleeved too. :)

Yea... Shamrock Shuffle has some of the best race shirts. FYI you get the same shirt if you do the 2 mile fun walk too... Andrew was a baby the last time I did it... maybe next year it can be a family thing. But I'm not that much of a die-hard... gotta be warm, sunny and somewhat pleasant otherwise it turns it sorta takes the "fun" out of it.

Wow, snow for spring. Yuk. Hope this race is good but I am not sure how they run in that snow.
