Oh I have been a little behind on the Creature Feature... I could honestly post a new feature every few hours or so.  This is his latest creation.

Creature Feature

Well it has been awhile since our last Creature Feature.  Andrew is still quit the lego-maniac and is always building.  We have put a baby gate up in front of his bedroom door so that he can work to his heart's content without being disturbed by his brothers.  Sam and Sean don't yet appreciate the fine art of lego creature construction.  Sam would rather throw the pieces in every directions and Sean grabs whatever he can gets his hands on and either puts it into his mouth or runs off with it.  I think Andrew likes this little bit of privacy ... or perhaps protection... so that he can build something to completion before his brothers destroy it.  As always... these projects are well thought out and each part has a purpose (ie flame thrower, wings, rocket launchers, flotation devices and the like).

Well it has been awhile since our last Creature Feature... but that is not because Andrew wasn't busy.  Some of his recent creations can not be in bright light and can be harmed by the camera flash... which makes his his bedroom, after lights out, when he should be asleep the perfect environment for them to thrive.  Obviously they are nocturnal, which is oh so convenient for   my little night owl.  This creature, yet to be named, can withstand the sun's powerful rays and the camera flash.  He is also quite photogenic and was willing to provide several poses showing off his best features.

Andrew is always building something... usually a creature, robot, fighter, swimmer, flyer sort of thing.  He creates them out of various Lego pieces and some of them are down right impressive. They all have names, powers, abilities, and various traits that make them unique.  For example some can only come out at night, others protect you from warewolves, some are bad guys... just because, some are made for fighting, some can only survive in the bath tub and others really like to ride in the van.  So because this is so much a part of who he is right now, I thought it would be fun to feature a different creature each week (see the Creature Feature in the side menu).  It will be Andrew's little spot to show off his creativity, to let his imagination shine and a wonderful way to document this magical time in his childhood.
